- 1 Bel krümmt sich, Nebo sinkt zusammen; ihre Bilder sind dem Saumtiere und dem Lastvieh zuteil geworden; eure Tragbilder sind aufgeladen, eine Last für das ermüdete Vieh.
- 2 Sie sind zusammengesunken, haben sich gekrümmt allzumal und haben die Last nicht retten können; und sie selbst sind in die Gefangenschaft gezogen.
- 3 Höret auf mich, Haus Jakob und aller Überrest des Hauses Israel, die ihr von Mutterleibe an aufgeladen, von Mutterschoße an getragen worden seid!
- 4 Und bis in euer Greisenalter bin ich derselbe, und bis zu eurem grauen Haare werde ich euch tragen; ich habe es getan, und ich werde heben, und ich werde tragen und erretten.
- 5 Wem wollt ihr mich vergleichen und gleichstellen und mich ähnlich machen, daß wir gleich seien? -
- 6 Sie, die Gold aus dem Beutel schütten und Silber mit der Waage darwägen, dingen einen Schmelzer, daß er einen Gott daraus mache; sie beten an, ja, sie werfen sich nieder.
- 7 Sie heben ihn auf, tragen ihn auf der Schulter und lassen ihn nieder auf seine Stelle, und er steht da: von seinem Orte weicht er nicht. Auch schreit man zu ihm, aber er antwortet nicht: niemand rettet er aus seiner Not. -
- 8 Gedenket dessen und werdet fest, nehmet es zu Herzen, ihr Abtrünnigen!
- 9 Gedenket des Anfänglichen von der Urzeit her, daß ich Gott bin, und sonst ist keiner, daß ich Gott bin und gar keiner wie ich;
- 10 der ich von Anfang an das Ende verkünde, und von alters her, was noch nicht geschehen ist; der ich spreche: Mein Ratschluß soll zustande kommen, und all mein Wohlgefallen werde ich tun;
- 11 der ich einen Raubvogel rufe von Osten her, aus fernem Lande den Mann meines Ratschlusses. Ich habe geredet, und werde es auch kommen lassen; ich habe entworfen, und werde es auch ausführen. -
- 12 Höret auf mich, ihr Trotzigen, die ihr fern seid von Gerechtigkeit!
- 13 Ich habe meine Gerechtigkeit nahe gebracht, sie ist nicht fern, und mein Heil zögert nicht; und ich gebe in Zion Heil, und Israel meine Herrlichkeit.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text.
