Jesaja 21
- 1 Ausspruch über die Wüste des Meeres. Wie Stürme, wenn sie im Süden daherfahren, so kommts aus der Wüste, aus furchtbarem Lande.
- 2 Ein hartes Gesicht ist mir kundgetan: Der Räuber raubt, und der Verwüster verwüstet. Ziehe hinauf, Elam! belagere, Medien! All ihrem Seufzen mache ich ein Ende.
- 3 Darum sind meine Lenden voll Schmerzes Wehen haben mich ergriffen wie die Wehen einer Gebärenden; ich krümme mich, daß ich nicht hören, bin bestürzt, daß ich nicht sehen kann.
- 4 Mein Herz schlägt wild, Schauder ängstigt mich; die Dämmerung, die ich liebe, hat er mir in Beben verwandelt.
- 5 Man rüstet den Tisch, es wacht die Wache, man ißt, man trinkt Stehet auf, ihr Fürsten! salbet den Schild! -
- 6 Denn also hat der Herr zu mir gesprochen: Gehe hin, stelle einen Wächter auf; was er sieht, soll er berichten.
- 7 Und er sah einen Reiterzug: Reiter bei Paaren; einen Zug Esel, einen Zug Kamele. Und er horchte gespannt, mit großer Aufmerksamkeit;
- 8 und er rief wie ein Löwe: Herr, ich stehe auf der Turmwarte beständig bei Tage, und auf meinem Wachtposten stehe ich da alle Nächte hindurch!
- 9 Und siehe da, es kam ein Zug Männer, Reiter bei Paaren Und er hob an und sprach: Gefallen, gefallen ist Babel, und alle geschnitzten Bilder seiner Götzen hat er zu Boden geschmettert!
- 10 Du mein Gedroschenes und Sohn meiner Tenne! Was ich von Jehova der Heerscharen, dem Gott Israels, gehört, habe ich euch verkündigt.
- 11 Ausspruch über Duma. Aus Seir ruft man mir zu: Wächter, wie weit ists in der Nacht? Wächter, wie weit in der Nacht?
- 12 Der Wächter spricht: Der Morgen kommt, und auch die Nacht. Wollt ihr fragen, so fraget! Kehret wieder, kommet her!
- 13 Ausspruch über Arabien. In der Wildnis von Arabien müßt ihr übernachten, Karawanen der Dedaniter.
- 14 Bringet dem Durstigen Wasser entgegen! Die Bewohner des Landes Tema kommen mit seinem Brote dem Flüchtling entgegen.
- 15 Denn sie flüchten vor den Schwertern, vor dem gezückten Schwerte und vor dem gespannten Bogen und vor der Wucht des Krieges.
- 16 Denn also hat der Herr zu mir gesprochen: Binnen Jahresfrist, wie die Jahre eines Tagelöhners, wird alle Herrlichkeit Kedars verschwinden.
- 17 Und die übriggebliebene Zahl der Bogen, der Helden der Söhne Kedars, wird gering sein; denn Jehova, der Gott Israels, hat geredet.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text.
