- 1 Wehe denen, welche nach Ägypten hinabziehen um Hülfe, auf Rosse sich stützen, und die ihr Vertrauen auf Wagen setzen, weil ihrer viele, und auf Reiter, weil sie zahlreich sind; und die auf den Heiligen Israels nicht schauen und nach Jehova nicht fragen!
- 2 Aber auch er ist weise und führt Unglück herbei, und nimmt seine Worte nicht zurück; und er steht auf wider das Haus der Übeltäter und wider die Helferschaft derer, welche Frevel tun.
- 3 Und die Ägypter sind Menschen und nicht Gott, und ihre Rosse sind Fleisch und nicht Geist. Und Jehova streckt seine Hand aus, und es strauchelt der Helfer, und es stürzt der, welchem geholfen wird; und sie werden zunichte alle miteinander.
- 4 Denn also hat Jehova zu mir gesprochen: Wie der Löwe und der junge Löwe, wider den der Hirten Menge zusammengerufen wird, über seinem Raube knurrt, vor ihrer Stimme nicht erschrickt und sich vor ihrem Lärmen nicht ergibt, also wird Jehova der Heerscharen herniedersteigen, um auf dem Berge Zion und auf seinem Hügel zu streiten.
- 5 Gleich schwebenden Vögeln, also wird Jehova der Heerscharen Jerusalem beschirmen: beschirmen und erretten, schonen und befreien. -
- 6 Kehret um, Kinder Israel, zu dem, von welchem ihr so weit abgewichen seid!
- 7 Denn an jenem Tage werden sie verabscheuen, ein jeder seine Götzen von Silber und seine Götzen von Gold, die eure Hände euch gemacht haben zur Sünde.
- 8 Und Assyrien wird fallen durch ein Schwert, nicht eines Mannes; und ein Schwert, nicht eines Menschen, wird es verzehren. Und es wird vor dem Schwerte fliehen, und seine Jünglinge werden fronpflichtig werden.
- 9 Und sein Fels wird vor Schrecken entweichen, und seine Fürsten werden vor dem Panier verzagen, spricht Jehova, der sein Feuer in Zion und seinen Ofen in Jerusalem hat.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text.
