To please You, my God,
To please You, Lord Jesus Christ,
I accept it as the new goal of my life,
I seal it as the only worthy foundation of my life.
From this moment on, my God and my King, may my thoughts and my plans,
May henceforth, my plans and my sighs,
Originate from only one motivation,
Owe their existence to only one impulse:
Not to implement a perception of Holiness,
Not to reassure myself of a certain zeal,
Not to provide a model for my wife, my son, or my brother,
But simply to please You, to please You, to please You, Lord Jesus Christ.
May having a pure heart never again be a quest in itself for me,
But simply an implementation of this desire to please You, O Most Holy God.
May hard work never again be an end in itself for me,
But simply a translation of this desire to please You, Lord my King.
May the meditation on Scripture, the understanding of it,
May my desire to discern Your thoughts, to do Your will,
No longer be driven by the fear of falling into evil,
But by this childlike desire to please His divine Father,
But by this childlike longing to finally worship His Father God in spirit and in truth;
Moved by the Spirit of adoption received through the Grace of Christ,
Who cries out within me: “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15
Thank you, Everlasting Father, Almighty God,
Because the One in whom Your Heart finds pleasure now dwells in me,
Thank you because the One You have instructed me to listen to, now resides in me,
Thank you because He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit has baptized me, me too.
My heart rejoices and is filled with gladness, Lord Jesus Christ,
Because Your Spirit within me is the hope of Glory,
Because You within me is the assurance of a life pleasing to the Father.
Thank You because from now on, it is Your own Life, the only one pleasing to the Father, that You will live in me,
Thank You because it is Your life as the legitimate Son that You will live in me, thus sealing my adoption,
Thank You because Your Spirit within me will lead me not only to listen to You, but will Himself carry out Your will through me.
What Grace, what Privilege, what Honor!
O Lord Jesus Christ, I renew to You the consecration of my whole being.
Yes, to Your Holy Spirit I renew my submission without any limitation.
May He be sovereign in my life, may He be sovereign in my life, may He be sovereign in my life.
Thank you for the life of the Holy Spirit,
Thank you for a renewed life,
Thank you for a new beginning,
Thank you for a sure and safe journey.
You are my God, You are my God, Lord Jesus Christ, You are my God.
O Most Holy Father, to You and to Your Christ be glory, adoration, and magnificence from eternity to eternity.
In Christ Jesus! Amen!
