All societies have experienced "evolutions" or "degradations" depending on one's values and the examined aspects. As for the trajectory of moral values, the driving force has generally been the desire of people to indulge their passions, to enjoy "life" to the fullest. Two keys then became evident: freedom and its corollary, money. We will stand on God's side and examine the question of money in our societies.

In the past, it was accepted by all, and without any effort, that a young girl had to preserve her virginity until her wedding. And chastity was then the highest virtue of a young girl, alongside, of course, gentleness and aptitude for service. It was inconceivable that a girl would go out with a boy and give him her body, without them being married, just for fun or worse, to make a little money: she was unreservedly considered a prostitute. Today our societies have only retained this term for women who give themselves to "strangers". No, no, no, my dear sisters, to give one's body in compensation for favors received, whether to a "boyfriend," a "sugar daddy," or a stranger, is prostitution; and to give one's body to anyone other than one's husband is to corrupt said body, it is defilement.

More and more of our young sisters are living out their marriageable years without getting married, because they are seeking freedom through comfortable jobs that are supposed to come from long studies, because they demand that their suitors be of sufficiently "comfortable" financial means. And when it turns out that continence becomes difficult, rather than reexamine their trajectory, they despise their virginity; and the day they judge that it is too late, carried away by the desire for motherhood, they decide to find a "seed provider". They do not question themselves sufficiently about the future of this child destined to grow up without a father, about the wave of mockery that he will have to face from school age; and above all, they do not measure the risk that their offspring will one day follow their bad example, so insurmountable does this desire for motherhood seem to them: look around you, you will see how many are these "natural daughters" who have in turn become "natural mothers".

Decades ago, society refused to turn a blind eye to the membership of certain men in notorious esoteric and infamous sects, once it was proven that they frequented such circles. Their money was not enough to buy them the friendship of noble people, nor even their supposed eloquence: they were distrusted. Today, money has become a formidable pass. Men are cited as examples, are called upon to give their opinion on important subjects, not because they have raised exemplary children, not because their "private" lives testify that they have remained faithful to moral values; but simply because of their wealth, or their CVs.

How many parents think twice before deciding to send their children to study in the West, where, like in Sodom and Gomorrah, homosexuality is celebrated? How many parents first consider their offspring's ability to remain steadfast in such a hellish environment? How many consider the possibility of losing their "child" if they are not equipped to live in such a hostile environment; or is the only question that matters whether they have saved enough money for their trip?

Oh, how unfortunate, how sad, how painful it is to realize how much our society has yielded and, sadly, continues to be battered by these violent and reckless winds that are shaking the world. After having laid waste to the West, the cradle of the Faith, they have turned to Africa, still masked by the terms "Freedom," "Democracy," and "Emancipation."

God today gives us a powerful reminder through His Word; let us return to the Scriptures. Here is what they declare:

The root of all evil
"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses."

1 Timothy 6, 6-12

Yes, let us fight the good fight, and prove right our sons who will affirm it on our death notice after us.

A declared enemy of God
Let us not delude ourselves: it is absolutely impossible for us to serve God and money at the same time; to have two masters in Life; only God, through His Christ, must be our Master, our Guide, the one who evaluates and directs our ways.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

Matthew 6:19-24

Idolatry
By indulging in the covetousness, one not only surrenders oneself into the hands of the ruthless slave master Mammon, but also commits adultery by worshipping another god, thus becoming a "child of disobedience" and incurring "the wrath of God." This is why the Bible takes care to mention greed not only as a sin, but also as idolatry.

"But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."

Ephesians 5:3-6

"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience"

Colossians 3:5-6

As you may have noticed, the Scriptures clearly identify these sins as making some people "children of disobedience," namely: fornication, uncleanness, and covetousness. Therefore, with the Apostle Paul, we can conclude: "But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints"  (Ephesians 5:3)

What if the damage is already done?
This article has thus far addressed those who felt drawn to a lifestyle that does not honor God. However, may God keep us from burdening those who are already sorry for their past life choices. So, here is God's message for you, here are the outstretched arms of Christ toward you; long ago foretold by the prophet Isaiah and fulfilled by Jesus Christ:

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Isaiah 1:18

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

Luke 4:18-19

If from this day forward you desire to renounce your old life in order to dedicate the rest of your days to God, for a life now lived for His exclusive Glory in Jesus Christ, His Son who died on the cross for our eternal Salvation, then here is a prayer that you might find inspiring:

The Lord God, I acknowledge that until this day, my life has been guided by an ever-increasing desire to enjoy life and its passions, without giving much thought to what You, my Creator, expected of me. I acknowledge having fought for what I called my rights, against my parents, against my partner, against men in society, without truly considering what were my duties, my responsibility before Your Holy Throne. I ask Your forgiveness for a life based on my pleasure and my interests rather than on You. I ask Your forgiveness for all those I have wronged in one way or another in this frantic, unrestrained pursuit; and I even pray that they too may find the strength to forgive me through Your Grace.

Today, The Lord God, I wholeheartedly want to return to You. You alone I want to serve; You alone I want to have as my Guide. I will tolerate nothing in my life simply because society would tolerate it, nor will I be ashamed to follow You as You require, because society would mock me. I choose to follow You as You will, as Your Word instructs me. In the name of Christ Jesus!

I pray and beseech You to come and establish Yourself upon the Throne of my Heart; be henceforth, Lord Jesus Christ, the sole Master of my life. By grace, fill me with Your Holy Spirit. May He enable me to follow You, far from fornication, covetousness, and all uncleanness; I beg You.

Finally, I beseech You to lead me to brothers and sisters who are not swept away by the mighty winds that threaten society, but who allow themselves to be guided by Your Word and who constantly examine it, in an atmosphere of prayer, in order to discern Your Way, to distinguish Your Voice.

In the name of Christ Jesus!
Amen !!!
