Jesaja 48
- 1 Höret das, ihr vom Hause Jakob, die ihr heißet mit Namen Israel und aus dem Wasser Judas geflossen sind, die ihr schwöret bei dem Namen des HErrn und gedenket des GOttes in Israel, aber nicht in der Wahrheit noch Gerechtigkeit.
- 2 Denn sie nennen sich aus der heiligen Stadt und trotzen auf den GOtt Israels, der da heißt der HErr Zebaoth:
- 3 Ich hab's zuvor verkündiget dies Zukünftige; aus meinem Munde ist's kommen, und ich habe es lassen sagen; ich tue es auch plötzlich, daß es kommt.
- 4 Denn ich weiß, daß du hart bist; und dein Nacken ist eine eiserne Ader, und deine Stirn ist ehern.
- 5 Ich habe dir's verkündiget zuvor und habe dir's lassen sagen, ehe denn es kommen ist, auf daß du nicht sagen mögest: Mein Götze tut's, und mein Bild und Götze hat's befohlen.
- 6 Solches alles hörest du und siehest es und hast's doch nicht verkündiget. Denn ich habe dir zuvor Neues sagen lassen und Verborgenes, das du nicht wußtest.
- 7 Nun aber ist's geschaffen, und nicht dazumal, und hast nicht einen Tag zuvor davon gehöret, auf daß du nicht sagen mögest: Siehe, das wußte ich wohl.
- 8 Denn du höretest es nicht und wußtest es auch nicht, und dein Ohr war dazumal nicht geöffnet; ich aber wußte wohl, daß du verachten würdest und von Mutterleibe an ein Übertreter genannt bist.
- 9 Darum bin ich um meines Namens willen geduldig und um meines Ruhms willen will ich mich dir zugut enthalten, daß du nicht ausgerottet werdest.
- 10 Siehe, ich will dich läutern, aber nicht wie Silber; sondern ich will dich auserwählt machen im Ofen des Elendes.
- 11 Um meinetwillen, ja um meinetwillen will ich's tun, daß ich nicht gelästert werde; denn ich will meine Ehre keinem andern lassen.
- 12 Höre mir zu, Jakob, und du, Israel, mein Berufener: Ich bin's, ich bin der Erste, dazu auch der Letzte.
- 13 Meine Hand hat den Erdboden gegründet und meine rechte Hand hat den Himmel umspannet: was ich rufe, das stehet alles da.
- 14 Sammelt euch alle und höret: Wer ist unter diesen, der solches verkündigen kann? Der HErr liebet ihn; darum wird er seinen Willen an Babel und seinen Arm an den Chaldäern beweisen.
- 15 Ich, ja ich habe es gesagt, ich habe ihm gerufen; ich will ihn auch kommen lassen, und sein Weg soll ihm gelingen.
- 16 Tretet her zu mir und höret dies; ich hab's nicht im Verborgenen zuvor geredet. Von der Zeit an, da es geredet wird, bin ich da; und nun sendet mich der HErr HErr und sein Geist.
- 17 So spricht der HErr, dein Erlöser, der Heilige in Israel: Ich bin der HErr, dein GOtt, der dich lehret, was nützlich ist, und leite dich auf dem Wege, den du gehest.
- 18 O daß du auf meine Gebote merktest! So würde dein Friede sein wie ein Wasserstrom und deine Gerechtigkeit wie Meereswellen,
- 19 und dein Same würde sein wie Sand und das Gewächs deines Leibes wie desselbigen Kies, des Name nicht würde ausgerottet noch vertilget vor mir.
- 20 Gehet aus von Babel, fliehet von den Chaldäern mit fröhlichem Schall; verkündiget und lasset solches hören; bringet es aus bis an der Welt Ende! Sprechet: Der HErr hat seinen Knecht Jakob erlöset.
- 21 Sie hatten keinen Durst, da er sie leitete in der Wüste; er ließ ihnen Wasser aus Felsen fließen; er riß den Fels, daß Wasser herausrann.
- 22 Aber die Gottlosen, spricht der HErr, haben keinen Frieden.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
