Offenbarung 4
- 1 Nach diesem sah ich: und siehe, eine Tür war aufgetan in dem Himmel, und die erste Stimme, die ich gehört hatte wie die einer Posaune mit mir reden, sprach: Komm hier herauf, und ich werde dir zeigen, was nach diesem geschehen muß.
- 2 Alsbald war ich im Geiste; und siehe, ein Thron stand in dem Himmel, und auf dem Throne saß einer.
- 3 Und der da saß, war von Ansehen gleich einem Jaspisstein und einem Sardis, und ein Regenbogen war rings um den Thron, von Ansehen gleich einem Smaragd.
- 4 Und rings um den Thron waren vierundzwanzig Throne, und auf den Thronen saßen vierundzwanzig Älteste, bekleidet mit weißen Kleidern, und auf ihren Häuptern goldene Kronen.
- 5 Und aus dem Throne gehen hervor Blitze und Stimmen und Donner; und sieben Feuerfackeln brannten vor dem Throne, welche die sieben Geister Gottes sind.
- 6 Und vor dem Throne wie ein gläsernes Meer, gleich Kristall; und inmitten des Thrones und um den Thron her vier lebendige Wesen, voller Augen vorn und hinten.
- 7 Und das erste lebendige Wesen war gleich einem Löwen, und das zweite lebendige Wesen gleich einem Kalbe, und das dritte lebendige Wesen hatte das Angesicht eines Menschen, und das vierte lebendige Wesen war gleich einem fliegenden Adler.
- 8 Und die vier lebendigen Wesen hatten, ein jedes von ihnen für sich, je sechs Flügel; ringsum und inwendig sind sie voller Augen, und sie hören Tag und Nacht nicht auf zu sagen: Heilig, heilig, heilig, Herr, Gott, Allmächtiger, der da war und der da ist und der da kommt!
- 9 Und wenn die lebendigen Wesen Herrlichkeit und Ehre und Danksagung geben werden dem, der auf dem Throne sitzt, der da lebt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit,
- 10 so werden die vierundzwanzig Ältesten niederfallen vor dem, der auf dem Throne sitzt, und den anbeten, der da lebt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit, und werden ihre Kronen niederwerfen vor dem Throne und sagen:
- 11 Du bist würdig, o unser Herr und unser Gott, zu nehmen die Herrlichkeit und die Ehre und die Macht; denn du hast alle Dinge erschaffen, und deines Willens wegen waren sie und sind sie erschaffen worden.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
