- 1 Erbittet vom HERRN Regen zur Zeit des Spätregens! Der HERR macht Blitze und wird euch Regengüsse geben für jedes Gewächs auf dem Felde!
- 2 Denn die Hausgötter haben leere Versprechungen gemacht, und die Wahrsager haben trügerische Gesichte gesehen, und sie erzählen erlogene Träume und trösten vergeblich. Darum sind sie fortgelaufen wie Schafe, sie sind im Elend, weil kein Hirt da ist.
- 3 Mein Zorn ist entbrannt über die Hirten, und die Böcke werde ich strafen; denn der HERR der Heerscharen hat seine Herde, das Haus Juda, gemustert und hat sie hergerichtet wie sein Prachtroß im Streit.
- 4 Von ihm kommt der Eckstein, von ihm der Zeltpflock, von ihm der Kriegsbogen, von ihm alle Treiber insgesamt.
- 5 Und sie werden sein wie die Helden, welche den Straßenkot zertreten im Kriege, und sie werden kämpfen, weil der HERR mit ihnen ist, und werden die Reiter zuschanden machen.
- 6 Und ich will das Haus Juda stärken und das Haus Joseph erretten und will sie heimkehren lassen, weil ich Erbarmen mit ihnen habe; und sie sollen sein, als hätte ich sie niemals verworfen; denn ich, der HERR, bin ihr Gott und will sie erhören.
- 7 Und Ephraim soll sein wie ein Held, und ihr Herz soll frohlocken wie vom Wein. Ihre Kinder werden es sehen und fröhlich sein, ihr Herz wird sich freuen im HERRN.
- 8 Ich will ihnen pfeifen und sie sammeln; denn ich habe sie erlöst; und sie sollen so zahlreich werden, wie sie einstmals waren.
- 9 Ich werde sie zwar unter die Völker säen; aber in der Ferne werden sie meiner gedenken; und sie sollen leben mit ihren Kindern und wiederkehren.
- 10 Ich will sie aus Ägyptenland zurückführen und aus Assur sammeln und sie ins Land Gilead und auf den Libanon bringen; aber es wird nicht Raum genug gefunden werden für sie.
- 11 Und sie werden durch das Meer der Angst gehen; er aber wird die Wellen im Meere schlagen, daß alle Tiefen des Nil versiegen; und das stolze Assur wird gestürzt, und das Zepter Ägyptens muß weichen.
- 12 Und ich will sie stark machen in dem HERRN, und sie werden wandeln in seinem Namen, spricht der HERR.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
