2. Timotheus 3
- 1 Dieses aber wisse, daß in den letzten Tagen schwere Zeiten da sein werden;
- 2 denn die Menschen werden eigenliebig sein, geldliebend, prahlerisch, hochmütig, Lästerer, den Eltern ungehorsam, undankbar, heillos,
- 3 ohne natürliche Liebe, unversöhnlich, Verleumder, unenthaltsam, grausam, das Gute nicht liebend,
- 4 Verräter, verwegen, aufgeblasen, mehr das Vergnügen liebend als Gott,
- 5 die eine Form der Gottseligkeit haben, deren Kraft aber verleugnen; und von diesen wende dich weg.
- 6 Denn aus diesen sind, die sich in die Häuser schleichen und Weiblein gefangen nehmen, welche, mit Sünden beladen, von mancherlei Lüsten getrieben werden,
- 7 die immerdar lernen und niemals zur Erkenntnis der Wahrheit kommen können.
- 8 Gleicherweise aber wie Jannes und Jambres Mose widerstanden, also widerstehen auch diese der Wahrheit, Menschen, verderbt in der Gesinnung, unbewährt hinsichtlich des Glaubens.
- 9 Sie werden aber nicht weiter fortschreiten, denn ihr Unverstand wird allen offenbar werden, wie auch der von jenen es wurde.
- 10 Du aber hast genau erkannt meine Lehre, mein Betragen, meinen Vorsatz, meinen Glauben, meine Langmut, meine Liebe, mein Ausharren,
- 11 meine Verfolgungen, meine Leiden: welcherlei Leiden mir widerfahren sind in Antiochien, in Ikonium, in Lystra; welcherlei Verfolgungen ich ertrug, und aus allen hat der Herr mich gerettet.
- 12 Alle aber auch, die gottselig leben wollen in Christo Jesu, werden verfolgt werden.
- 13 Böse Menschen aber und Gaukler werden im Bösen fortschreiten, indem sie verführen und verführt werden.
- 14 Du aber bleibe in dem, was du gelernt hast und wovon du völlig überzeugt bist, da du weißt, von wem du gelernt hast,
- 15 und weil du von Kind auf die heiligen Schriften kennst, die vermögend sind, dich weise zu machen zur Seligkeit durch den Glauben, der in Christo Jesu ist.
- 16 Alle Schrift ist von Gott eingegeben und nütze zur Lehre, zur Überführung, zur Zurechtweisung, zur Unterweisung in der Gerechtigkeit,
- 17 auf daß der Mensch Gottes vollkommen sei, zu jedem guten Werke völlig geschickt.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
