Contrary to what we tend to believe, knowing God's will about the need for us to do something is usually not enough for us to do it; because every will of God is part of a process. This is also one of the reasons why God sometimes refrains from telling us in advance the slightest element about his will, until the moment when he himself implements it effectively.
Suppose we want to build a house: we know from God, the place to build, the size of the concrete blocks, the choice of materials, the color of the paint, etc. Is all this enough to finally have the house? what God wants? NO !
You have to start the house during the right climatic season, after each step, give yourself a possible precise time for the mixture to be complete, for the alloy to harden, .... There is a whole process to make materials , the house; to transform materials into a house; It is the same for the finality of God in each aspect of our life: knowing which woman he intends for us to marry is not enough for us to run to ask for her hand, or to hasten to take matters into our own hands. If we are not careful, knowing an aspect of God's will, will become counterproductive for us, since we do not let Him implement this will Himself through His Holy Spirit. King Saul knew that Samuel had to make the sacrifice before the battle, but he disregarded the process (giving in to panic), he disregarded God's timing and thus marked the beginning of the end of his kingship (1 Samuel 13 :1-14); Adam knew that Eve was the woman he had received from God but he did not let God remain Lord of their relationship: during temptation, he chose to follow his wife rather than God, which he also allowed himself to 'accuse later, .... Knowing a detail of God's will will never be enough for us to take control of the future of things. We must stay connected to Him for the entire implementation of the process, for the perfect execution of His plan, for the complete construction of the “house”. Let's remember if every area of our life is a house under construction, then our whole life is a neighborhood.... Either way, it's the same principle. Having knowledge of a detail allows us, depending on the case, to establish the thing (in a spiritual sense), to already give thanksgiving, to be at rest, to prepare for the next step, .... But never to manage the outcome yourself, never take control of the outcome yourself.
Our life cannot be compared to a “broth” where all the spices are thrown into the water at once; but it is rather similar to a “dish” for which there is a whole recipe to follow. But let us note, only the Holy Spirit knows it; so let the Master make of our life a living sacrifice, acceptable unto God!
Amen!!!
