Hiob 6
- 1 Da antwortete Hiob und sprach:
- 2 O daß mein Unmut und mein Unglück gegeneinander abgewogen und zugleich auf eine Waage gelegt würden!
- 3 Denn nun ist es schwerer als Meeressand; darum sind meine Reden so verwirrt.
- 4 Denn die Pfeile des Allmächtigen stecken in mir, mein Geist saugt ihr Gift; die Schrecken Gottes bestürmen mich.
- 5 Schreit auch ein Wildesel beim Gras, brüllt auch ein Ochse, wenn er Futter hat?
- 6 Kann man auch Fades essen ohne Salz, findet man am Eiweiß irgendwelchen Geschmack?
- 7 Was meine Seele zu berühren verschmähte, das ist jetzt mein täglich Brot!
- 8 O daß doch käme, was ich wünsche, und Gott meine Hoffnung erfüllte:
- 9 daß es doch Gott gefiele, mich zu zermalmen, seine Hand auszustrecken und mich abzuschneiden!
- 10 So bliebe mir noch der Trost (worüber ich frohlocken würde im schonungslosen Schmerz), daß ich von den Worten des Heiligen nicht abgefallen bin!
- 11 Wie groß ist denn meine Kraft, daß ich noch ausharren, und wann kommt mein Ende, daß meine Seele sich gedulden soll?
- 12 Ist mir denn der Steine Kraft gegeben, ist dies mein Fleisch etwa von Erz?
- 13 Bin ich denn nicht hilflos und des Heils beraubt?
- 14 Dem Verzagten soll sein Freund Mitleid erzeigen, selbst wenn er von der Furcht des Allmächtigen lassen sollte.
- 15 Meine Brüder trügen wie ein Wildbach, wie das Bett der Wildbäche, die überlaufen,
- 16 welche trübe werden vom Eis, wenn der Schnee sich darin birgt,
- 17 die aber versiegen zur Zeit der Sommerglut und von ihrem Ort verschwinden, wenn es heiß wird.
- 18 Es biegen ab von ihrem Wege die Karawanen, ziehen in die Wüste und verirren sich;
- 19 es schauen sie die Karawanen Themas, die Reisegesellschaften Sebas hoffen auf sie.
- 20 Aber sie werden in ihrer Hoffnung zuschanden; wenn sie dorthin kommen, sind sie enttäuscht.
- 21 So seid auch ihr mir jetzt geworden; ihr schauet Schreckliches und fürchtet euch davor!
- 22 Habe ich gesagt: »Gebet mir etwas!« oder »Bringt mir etwas von eurem Vermögen her;
- 23 rettet mich aus der Hand des Feindes und erlöset mich von des Tyrannen Hand?«
- 24 Belehret mich, so will ich schweigen,
- 25 weiset mir nach, wo ich gefehlt! O wie eindringlich sind die Reden der Wahrheit! Aber was bringen eure Zurechtweisungen zu-recht?
- 26 Gedenket ihr Worte zu bekritteln und haltet die Reden eines Verzweifelten für Wind?
- 27 Ja, ihr werfet das Los über eine Waise und verhandelt euren Freund!
- 28 Und nun seid doch so gefällig und schaut mich an, ob ich euch ins Angesicht lügen werde!
- 29 Kehret um, tut nicht Unrecht! Ja, kehret um! noch bin ich im Recht!
- 30 Ist denn Unrecht auf meiner Zunge, oder unterscheidet mein Gaumen nicht, was verderblich ist?

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
